Use pincer grasp, clothespin or tongs to pinch pom poms and place each one into a white circle on the shamrock. Targets fine motor skills and strengthening hand muscles with the pinching action. Target visual motor skills with the placing of the pom poms onto the boundary of the white circle. Using fingers to pinch pom poms, beads, small manipulatives if tools are too challenging. Incorporate counting, adding and subtracting as you add on and take away each pom pom.
