December/Christmas/Winter Journal Writing Prompt Booklet
This is a 7 page booklet that features two journal entries on each page. The first is a title page, so there are 12 writing prompts. Each page has several lines for a student response, as well as a box to draw a picture of the journal entries.
These half sheets are to be cut out and given to students one at a time. At the end of the month, just before break, I like to punch holes and bind the journals for students to keep as a momento.

ACT TRACKER (HIGH/LOW--FAST/SLOW)
This is an ACT tracker that I created for my students on Publisher. I call it high/low--fast/slow. We practice two of each piece on the Reading portion of the test and do a "Quick Write" or "Power Write" in between each. This allows students to keep track of their scores and word count and at the end of the unit they can determine which pieces they do best on and what particular order they should do them in on the real ACT test. A line of nail polishes representing The Hunger Games was released earlier this month. It struck me that it might be fun for the students to create a nail polish line based on another set of star-crossed lovers: Romeo and Juliet. This activity would not only allow students to be creative, but to show their understanding of the events and characters in the story.

Show Me Tell Me Car Theory Questions
Great booklet I put together for my sister when practicing her driving test!
Show Me, Tell Me are the questions they will ask and the areas of the car that they ask before you start driving on your test. They ask two per test, you get one minor whether you get all wrong or just one.
