I made this game for some strugglers with identifying shapes and their attributes. Just covers 6 shapes from the Texas Standards of what first grade needs to know. There are some challenging riddles as well. Students play dominoes with them. No materials. Print, Cut and Laminate! This is great for a take home acitivity. You can even have it self checking on the back by symbols. Even includes a page where you can print the outside or front side of the cards for decoration!

We have been discussing the concept of patterns, the different types of patterns and attributes we can use to make patterns. This activity uses tangram blocks with the hexagon acting as the head. Students will choose a pattern of blocks, trace them and then colour them using a pattern. Students will then realize that they are making a pattern using two attributes. This worksheet reinforces 2D shapes and patterning. When students have completed the worksheet, they are to write the pattern rule
