This math activity integrates both math and art. Students create a "fraction flower," with a fraction (in simplest form) as the flower's center. On the surrounding petals, students find three different equivalent fractions and both the percent and decimal conversion of the center fraction. This was a quick menu I made in order to practice money and problem solving with my resource students in grades 4 and 5. Place Value Chart: for naming,addition, subtraction
Print, mount, and laminate these charts to use for teaching place value skills. Once laminated, students use the charts with a dry-erase marker.
The smaller charts help with standard, word, and expanded form. The larger chart is useful for lining up places ("stacking"); especially with decimals when adding, subtracting, or multiplying or for comparing numbers based on place value.
