When I first bought this wonderful book by Jim Aylesworth I always heard the words to the old gospel tune "Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho". I decided to create a brand new recording to be used as a Sing-a-Long book with students of all ages where the students respond with the words "Shoo fly shoo fly shoo". Chick-a-ma, Chick-a-ma, Craney Crow accompaniment track

My Beach Ball
This is a silly song to the tune of "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean." My class usually plays this game in a large circle rolling a beach ball. Write letters, word family words, sight words, numbers or math facts on the beach ball. Play the song then pause it. The child holding the beach ball when the song stops has to read the word or solve the problem under his/her right hand. Much more fun than flash cards.

The Nickel Song - Counting Money and Skip Counting by 5's
This song, inspired by Johnny Cash's style of music, was written and recorded to help children practice not only identifying which coin is a nickel, but also practices skip counting by 5's when counting nickels. This is one of my most requested songs by the kids in my school over the years.
