Book Tasting
To introduce different type of text to your scholars. Setting the stage to engage is key! My scholars LOVE when I change up my classroom when we are learning! I do a mini-lesson with my students to review fiction vs. nonfiction. Students then record their knowledge on the fiction vs. Nonfiction sheet. At each table I have a mixture of fiction and nonfiction books. Students go back to their tables look through the books and write the titles on in the fiction or nonfiction box on the sort those books side.

Bulletin Board Favorite Book Interview Home-school connection!

Torn Paper Turkey Thanksgiving Craft
Help those little fingers develop fine motor strength with this adorable craft. Students will read the color sight words and then tear that color construction paper.
