This worksheet guides students through through the steps in process of converting an equation from standard form to slope intercept form. Students first identify the coefficients of each variable in the equation in standard form ("A", "B", and "C"), then use the values of the coefficients to find the slope ("m") and y-intercept ("b"). Finally, they combine use these values to write the equation of the line in slope-intercept form. This worksheet could be used both for guided note-making or for s

Students match standard form with slope-intercept form of linear equations, then identify and match the slope and y-intercept and the graph of the linear equations. Cut a set for each pair or team of four students. Students can glue the matching squares onto color paper or poster paper. When I use it I add a column for them to show their work for changing standard to slope-intercept form. Activity helps develop fluency with equivalent linear equations and their graphic representations.
