Last they will answer some personal questions and make connections to their lives. This will take more than one class period unless you have block scheduleing.

Music was an important part of the Civil RIghts Movement.Having students analyze song lyrics can increase interest and participation while connecting them to culture. The corresponding questions relate to course content like symbolism, theme, figurative language, direct text evidence, allusion, and the Civil Rights Movement.The formatting may look a little wonky on a Word Document.I recommend putting this on a GoogleDoc and setting it to "pageless."
