The Panel Discussion Series is an annual event in my Grade 10 Literature class that spans 10 days - 2 weeks of one hour class periods. We invite at least one or two other English classes to join us to serve as the audience, as their participation is required for voting polls and generating questions for our panelists' response. These Discussion Series are a highlight of the year for my students, and serve as unforgettable events that generate authentic engagement with texts such as Orwell's 1984
