True Meaning of Christmas Double Play - Christian Church Skit for Children
What's better than a skit teaching little kids about the true meaning of Christmas? Two, of course! I was asked if I could write a skit for our Birthday Party for Jesus. It went over very well, so I was asked to write another skit a couple of years later.
Both of the skits have the same purpose of presenting the true meaning of Christmas. They were written for a Christian, Lutheran (Missouri Synod) church activity, though I'm sure they would work fine for your church without much effort. These

Scripts: 3 Short Christian Drama Scripts for Very Young Actors
These short scripts were designed for performance by preschoolers and primary grade actors. They are short, have easy to memorize lines and are age appropriate message wise. They can be done on a bare stage and the only props needed are 2 pieces of candy.
"Memory Verse" allows for unlimited extras so many children can have the experience of being on stage without having to speak on cue.

Script: Lost and Found (Reader's Theater)
Based on Luke 15 and the three parables of the lost sheep, coin and son. The parts of the sheep and pig can be given to a very young performer. Cast 10 but doubling possible. Run time 6 minutes.

An Unexpected Christmas
In this Christmas program, children are reminded how God sent Jesus in an unexpected way. He had the power to send him as a warrior or mighty king, but instead chose to send him as a baby, born to a humble villager. The setting of the program is heaven and includes dialog of God speaking to his angels about why he chose to send Jesus as a little baby. It was definitely unexpected!
