In this project students will be able to calculate price after discount and tax. They will do this by decorating a living room on a budget. They will find furniture and decorations to put in their living room using websites such as (ikea, wayfair, etc...). This teaches students how to find out how much it would cost to drive different cars to different locations. I have students use google maps to find the distances between different State Capitals that they want to drive to. They start at school and end their road trip at school.
