Mexican Loteria- School Appropriate

Traditional Mexican Loteria is so fun! All you need is the boards and beans to play. The only problem is that card 25 is not school appropriate and 26 can culturally inappropriate as traditional as this game is in Mexico. But not to worry as I have cut every card eliminating 25 and 26 off the game creating 28 unique boards. Also I have added a bikini top on our famous La Sirena for you not to worry about it! File is a WordDoc (that can be edited) that includes the Bingo sheet (English and Spanish) and instructions for the teacher.

Calavera (Sugar Skulls) Pumpkin Craft for Class Combo Halloween/Day of Dead

This is a fun craft project for any level class and any type of class, although I made it for a Spanish class so the word "corta" is used instead of "cut". Print these four pumpkins out on a mixture of orange/yellow/cream paper for the best results. Students can then color and customize with glitter glue, sparkles, et. cetera. At the end they cut around the edges and the eyes and nose. If the students are younger than twelve, the teacher may wish to cut out the eyes and nose, or instruct them ho

PAPER DOLL Spanish Class Cultural Element Traditional Clothes Mexico

Print the paper doll and the ropa tipica (traditional clothing). Allow students about forty minutes to complete the activity.I would suggest for upper levels asking students to write an accompanying paragraph describing the outfit or talking about traditional clothing from Mexico and how/when it is used. Also, I would print one set of clothing per 2 students, and allow them to share, to minimize paper waste. You can also separate out the first page and print it in color and print the others in bl

Talking bubbles are a great activity to help your students lose their fear of speaking Spanish. This activity should be done in pairs of two to help students feel more relaxed and confident. The teacher should listen to the dialogues and make sure that the students speak only in Spanish and, if they make any mistakes, help them by correcting them and motivating them to continue speaking.
