TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught middle school remedial reading courses for the past 24 years. I've also done private reading tutoring for elementary aged students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe the most effective way of teaching involves a variety of teaching styles. Some objectives require direct instruction, while others are more effective with student-centered methods.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

2018: "Outstanding Educator of the Year." (District Award) 2022: The Utah Jazz's MVE (Most Valuable Educator)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

When I'm not teaching, my time is spent with family. I have an amazing husband and two daughters (ages 7 and 9). We enjoy spending our summers soaking up the sun. We also spend a lot of our summer vacation visiting the MLB fields around the country and watching America's pastime. Finally, I am a huge advocate for organ donation and also spend a great amount of time promoting and advocating for this cause.
