TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a certified K-8 teacher and have taught a variety of academic areas and grades in a Catholic School in North Georgia. I was also the Dean of Academics for a number of years. I am Orton-Gillingham certified and a Project Lead the Way STEM educator. I am a certified Catholic catechist.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I truly believe that learning is not a spectator sport! Every day is a new opportunity for adventure in my classroom. I love hands-on activities, manipulatives, foldable, and graphic organizers to help my students organize and retain information. I also try to help my students to reflect on their learning and always make a connection to their own lives. The most important thing I do is to teach my students how to think and how to learn. I love to help other busy teachers increase student engagement.
