I have over 15 years of experience teaching Math and Science in 3rd and 5th grades.
I love to get my students up and moving by using rhyming jingles with motions to help solidify newly learned concepts. I love a structured, but relaxed, fun, organized classroom environment where students know they are accepted and loved and aren't afraid to make mistakes or ask questions. I want my students to learn the concept that working hard and doing their best is a lifelong skill that will always serve them well.
I went back to college after my youngest of 3 boys was in Kindergarten. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from West Texas A&M University at the age of 35. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education (1-8) with a minor in Math.
I am married to the greatest guy in the world. In addition to our 4 kids and their spouses, we have 7 amazing grandkids, Murphy, our long-haired mini-dachshund, and Rigby, our English Springer Spaniel. I love to work in my flower garden and read. We are blessed and life is good.
We can't do much about the length of our lives, but we can do plenty about its width and depth. ~ Evan Esar
