TEACHING EXPERIENCE

With 30 years in education, my passion has always been to create an environment where students enjoy learning and reach their highest potential. My community and students always embraced my love for teaching and supported my vision. I love to keep in touch with them and watch my students soar! I now work with teachers as a writing coach and create ROCKIN RESOURCES to reach students all over the world. My heart is happy.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My vision is to MOTIVATE, EDUCATE, DIFFERENTIATE! MOTIVATE students to learn. Get them engaged! EDUCATE through scaffolding and step-by-step processes. DIFFERENTIATE so all students can learn. I believe in teaching balanced literacy as well as meeting the needs of individual students. I make my lessons creative and ENGAGING so that students are excited to walk in the door each morning! If I could make a lesson more fun, then why not? I also think that lessons should offer differentiation. All students can learn and we need to give them that opportunity.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am the founder of Rockstar Writers®, a research-based writing program to build student and teacher confidence. We partner with Rise Together International and donate part of our proceeds to their mission. I am married with two children and love everyone else's children! I'm known as Auntie Pam in the neighborhood. My daughter graduated from the University of South Carolina, majoring in Marketing, and is now a valuable member of Rockin Resource's team! My son works as an interior painter and dabbles in affiliate marketing. I have a cat named Luna who works beside me every day. Our other fur babies have crossed the rainbow bridge and stay true to my heart. I spend my spare time volunteering in my community with an education foundation called CloverLeaf. We raise money for teacher grants and other causes in the district. I also enjoy learning more about my faith and helping others.
