TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a physical education teacher for over a decade and work in leadership/coordination roles writing physical education curriculum and teacher professional development/workshops.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a passionate teacher who believes my energy should carry through to the students. In physical education, I believe that the 'experiential teaching model' works best, where short, sharp instruction is given whilst I model. Students then carry out the activity individually or in groups while I provide constructive feedback.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

"Teacher of Excellence Award" - Australia "Australian Rules Football Ambassador of the Year" "Teacher of the Year" nomination Implemented a "Virtual Inter-school Competition" where students scattered across 100 miles competed virtually in the same challenges. A website was created so students could view results and compare to other schools Initiated weekly interschool sport on a remote island that saw attendance increase across 3 schools and maximise participation in sport

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
