TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I love working as an Orton-Gillingham Private Tutor and have done so for the past 25 plus years! In addition to tutoring, I have taught at a private school for students with learning disabilities and worked as a full-time learning resource tutor for another private school. Currently, I tutor students ranging from Pre-K to 8th grade from all types of school environments (public, private, homeschool) with 25-30 sessions per week. I create products to use with my students with dyslexia and other language based learning disabilities.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I use the Orton-Gillingham approach to teach reading, spelling and writing and I always make it multisensory...which makes it FUN! I love to use and create products that are easy to read, with little or no distractions and that have clean, simple lines and limited color ink. You will see this reflected in my products. My Structured Literacy products reflect the Science of Reading which assures all students have the opportunity to learn to read.
