TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I was born and grew up in Japan and now I'm living in Canada. I have taught Japanese from children (6-18 years old) to adult learners (post secondary and continued education) over 10 years in and outside Japan.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe one learns the most when there are reasons. To have such environment, I am trying to apply the language instruction into learners' life contexts and interests and to create situations which motivate them to use the languege. I am pursuing to create resources useful for teachers and meaningful for learners.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My native language is Japanese and I use English and Spanish as my second languages. When I create resources I am applying what I have experienced through my own language learning and teaching. I am creating what I wish/wished to exist and I am happy to make it realized. My shop name "にほんごのはね (wings of Japanese)" contains my wish for learners to have wings to fly the world with another language.
