ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Welcome, creatives! My name is Stephanie Villiotis. I am a certified K-12 art educator, artist, and art enthusiast who loves to share my passion with others. I have a B.S.Ed in Art Education (K-12) and a minor in Studio Art and the Education of Exceptional Persons form Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Currently, I have 12 years experience teaching art in public schools. I’ve taught middle school, high school, and elementary school. My art teaching philosophy is a deep belief that everyone can make art no matter the skill level. I believe that the art making has many more benefits than just a final product, such as a therapeutic experience, an expressive outlet, and an amazing tool to build self awareness. I am married to a creative man who always has a project he’s diving into. We have two children, Penelope (7) and Desmond (5). Yes, their names are inspired by characters on Lost. We live in sunny Florida, and enjoy playing outside every chance we can get! In 2021, I started Make a Mark Studios to help artists make their mark through art. I aim to share how-to tips for artists of all skills levels, ideas for art teachers, and share my own personal art exploration.
