TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught kindergarten for one year and this is my 11th year teaching first grade. I absolutely LOVE it! There is nothing better than seeing that little light bulb go off when a student finally masters a skill. I love teaching children to read!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have a very relaxed style of teaching but I do expect my students to always do their best and never say that they can't do something. I try to make things as hands-on as possible which is why I love creating fun centers and activities to use in my classroom.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Hopefully some to come!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from The University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!). I always knew in my heart that I wanted to be a teacher so after graduating in May, I started on my master's degree in Elementary Education at Jacksonville State University that August and have never once regretted my decision!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a wife to my wonderful husband, David and have two precious boys, Taylor and Riley. There is never a dull moment in my house! I am also a HUGE Alabama fan and go to all the home games with my dad. Roll Tide!
