I have been teaching for 17 years! I spent my first decade teaching all subjects to 6th graders and a bit of 5th. The last 7 have been at the middle school level teaching math to 7th & 8th grade.

My third year of teaching I was kindly nominated for our district's Teacher of the Year out of 2,000 teachers. I was very shocked and honored. I was also nominated for the national award: Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

I hold a National Board Professional Teaching Certificate ~ specializing in middle level mathematics. I also have a Master's Degree in middle level math. I received my BA in Elementary Education and my Washington State Teaching Certificate from Washington State University. Go Cougs! :)
