TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have more than 15 years of classroom teaching experience. My first teaching job was in Kindergarten. It was such a fun age. When my family moved to a new area, I took a teaching position in Middle School at the 6th-grade level. I am extremely fortunate that I was able to work with some incredibly dedicated and talented educators. As a team, we worked together to create a curriculum for many of our core subjects. After teaching at the Middle School level for 10 years, I took on a new position in an elementary school where I taught 2nd grade and 4th grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in instilling a passion for lifetime learning into my students. One way I introduce this passion is by being a model lifetime learner for my students. We live in an ever-changing world. Teacher-student interaction centers on assisting students in their personal journey through learning. This philosophy goes hand-in-hand with the teacher as facilitator approach to teaching. It also embraces the idea that each student is an individual with his or her own special needs.
