TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a teacher and a traveler with a passion for social studies and global education. I have taught students from over 45 countries and every habited continent. I taught 2nd grade for several years and redesigned the social studies curriculum. I taught internationally in Costa Rica, Colombia, and Peru. Then, I taught at the high school and post-graduate level. Currently, I design curriculum and instruction full-time from Austin, TX. As an avid traveler and language learner, I incorporate my experiences, research, and photography into my products. From living in Europe, Africa, and Latin America, I strive to make global education accessible to all.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I want my lessons to have real-world applications and prepare students to thrive in the 21st century. I like to engage curious learners in the process of discovering a new culture, a new language, or a new way of thinking. I create my resources with these in mind... ► Critical Thinking ► Multiliteracy ► Cultural Competence ► Global Awareness
