TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 17 years. Love it more every year!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I start each school year as a new journey. I have very few things that I do exactly the same each year because I am always searching for fun, new ways to present the curriculum. I love being a teacher and can't imagine doing anything else!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Recently, I was "Tagged by the Superintendent" for being an exemplary teacher in my building. I have been nominated for teacher of the year three times.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on Early Childhood.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I was born and raised in Virginia Beach and so was my husband. His job with the FBI took us to New Orleans for seven years, where my children "grew up". We survived Hurricane Katrina and were lucky enough to get back home to Virginia Beach in a relatively short amount of time.
