Cruz Educators are a team of two!
Prisca Rodriguez, Ph.D.
My passion for teaching can be traced back to when I was five years old. My stuffed bears were attentive students and I had plenty of chalk and patience. I began tutoring real people in high school and pursued different teaching opportunities whenever I had the chance. I have been a tutor, teacher, administrator, teacher mentor, department chair, and program coordinator. For the last 19 years, I have taught in traditional, non-traditional, online, and blended settings in K-12 and University.
As a teacher, I strive to help my students see their potential and use it to learn and become agents of change. I strive to engage with them in ways that raise awareness of social problems and foster democratic problem-solving.
Outside of the classroom, I am the overwhelmed teacher coach. I help teachers manage their workload and increase their resilience so they can be better teachers. I have also authored and contributed to several education articles, have been an international keynote speaker and presenter, and have served as a teacher selection ambassador for the District of Columbia.
