TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Specializing in all things STEM and Makerspaces, I am currently in my nineteenth year of teaching. I spent 10 years in the general education classroom teaching first, second, and third grade. I am now serving as a Gifted Resource Coordinator for early childhood students in K-2, teaching Gifted and Talented, STEM, Math Enrichment, and Advanced Literacy. My classroom serves as a Makerspace for K-2nd on Mondays and Fridays. Teaching has always been my calling, and I absolutely LOVE my job!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to step outside curriculum and enrich my students' learning experiences whenever possible! I strongly believe that play is the highest form of research, and hands-on learning is the key to student engagement. I love creating innovative products to meet the needs of my students while fostering memorable and engaging learning experiences. Teaching is my true passion, and I cannot imagine doing anything else! Visit my website and blog at teachoutsidethebox.com!
