oo and oo Sound Digraph Phonics Worksheets Games Sorting

This resource has variety of different ways to practice simple oo and oo words like in hook and moon! This pack offers a variety of levels with differentiated worksheets so ALL students can practice these digraphs / vowel teams!

I use these as an additional resource to our Orton Gillingham program.

Here's What's Included:

• Cut & Paste- Sort words into columns

• 2 Fluency Grids for each sound- These are differentiated: easier harder

• Color by Code

• Read each word. Write a word that rhymes with the word listed.

• Say the name of the picture. Circle the words that rhyme with the picture.

• Sort by Writing- Read the words from the word bank. Write the words in the correct columns (oo & oo).

• Fill in the missing word in the sentence.

• Use the word listed in a sentence.

• Page 9 & 10: (these are differentiated) Page 9, look at the picture and the words written. Circle the correct spelling of the word then write the word. Page 10, look at the picture and spell it on the line. Page 9 is easier because there's words to choose from and page 10 has no words just pictures.

• Matching Words to Pictures- Students cut out the words and glue it under the correct picture.

• What's the Word- Letters are out of order for the words. Students have to put the word back together. There is a picture and letter boxes for support.

• Spin, Read, Write, and Spell

• Word Search - comes with answer key

• Sorting cards to be used in a pocket chart or a word sort at a center. Words used: spoon, bloom, stool, food, shook, stood, wood, & nook.

Many of the words in this packet are used over and over. This is so students can be exposed to these words multiple times allowing them to remember the spelling easier.

The packet could be appropriate for late first grade or second grade students.
