Description

Student notebooks are a favorite of mine for math. They're a great reference for students to use when completing homework or reviewing for assessments.

These student notebook pages come in six printable options for each lesson:

1. Completed composition notebook size

2. Completed full-page size

3. Scaffolded fill in the blank composition notebook size

4. Scaffolded fill in the blank full-page size

5. Blank composition notebook size

6. Blank full-page size

Most lessons have all six versions. Some may not have a color version, and some may only have the blank page version.

If you want to save ink/paper, you can display these notebook pages on the board for students to copy onto their lined notebook pages.

This product also includes a set of vocabulary definitions pages for the beginning of the topic.

Set 1– Definitions filled in. Perfect for when you need a quick reference.

Set 2 – Spaced out over multiple pages for students to copy the definitions themselves from your displayed definitions.

Set 3 – All vocabulary on one page. There is not a lot of room to copy definitions on these pages, but you could write the lesson each word is used in.

For composition notebook size to stay appropriate, I recommend printing "Actual Size” or “Shrink Oversize Pages” when printing from PDF.

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Recognize that in a multi-digit number, a digit in one place represents 10 times as much as it represents in the place to its right and 1/10 of what it represents in the place to its left.
Explain patterns in the number of zeros of the product when multiplying a number by powers of 10, and explain patterns in the placement of the decimal point when a decimal is multiplied or divided by a power of 10. Use whole-number exponents to denote powers of 10.
Read, write, and compare decimals to thousandths.
Read and write decimals to thousandths using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form, e.g., 347.392 = 3 × 100 + 4 × 10 + 7 × 1 + 3 × (1/10) + 9 × (1/100) + 2 × (1/1000).
Compare two decimals to thousandths based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
