Description
So many lessons all rolled into one super-fun project! Students will begin by learning about famous still life paintings throughout history. Next, they will create a black and white background that combines a one-point perspective checkerboard design with lots of flowing zentangle patterns. Finally, they will top it all off with a colorful fruit bowl drawing.
Materials needed for this project: paper, pencils, rulers, scissors, a thin black marker, colored markers, colored pencils and/or crayons, and glue sticks.
This lesson includes:
- A 52-slide instructional presentation that includes descriptions and examples of still life paintings, classroom discussion questions, and step-by-step instructions for each phase of the project.
- "Quick-Print" packets for each step of the project. Packets can be given to each student as a way to supplement their learning and make it easier for them to follow along.
- Zentangle worksheets that include 90 designs for students to choose from.
- A "How to Draw a Fruit Bowl" worksheet for students to follow along to that reinforces teacher instruction.
