The aim for this teaching resource is to provide a one stop reference point for contemporary crime related court cases, media events and legislation (CML).

The Crime Compendium Resource (2023) addresses the syllabus ‘learn about’ statements with contemporary legal related events and judicial cases that support and enhance the theoretical content of the course.

A feature of the Crime Compendium Resource is that it consists of:

· A contents menu that links to each of the 71 entries,

· Fully referenced legal citation,

· Brief synopsis of the event,

· QR code for additional reading or research.

The Crime Compendium Resource 2023 is useful in shifting students away from textbook examples that are usually becoming outdated and less relevant. An added advantage for a teacher is that it reduces the amount of time needed to search, review and make summary notes for more up to date examples of court cases and media events.

The Crime Compendium Resource 2023 is published using MS Word and allows teachers the flexibility to print off individual pages for class handouts.
