Ever wonder what King George III had to say about the Revolutionary War?
While we were learning about the causes of the Revolutionary War, my students always asked what King George III thought about the colonists' actions. This activity is a great way to answer that question! While this is in no way a primary source, it is a fun way to help students view the revolution from the British perspective!
For my classroom, I showed my students a silly music video for the song from a group called "Working With Lemons" which is linked in the download. Then I had my students read through the lyrics as we re-listened to the audio, and they filled in the questions and analysis with a partner. We concluded with sharing as a class.
