What educators are saying

My students loved this as a 'Do Now' for a lesson on Yellow Journalism - I edited some of the prompts to fit them better but overall it was a really fun activity to get them talking!
Great, engaging activity for my high schoolers. While they understand the world of 'exaggerated' or 'fake' news, this activity really helped them connect the dots AND had fun! Thank you!

Description

Students will work in partners to complete the Yellow Journalism story of the USS Maine explosion. This quick and fun Mad Libs style activity is meant to show how inaccurate Yellow Journalism was at the time. My students loved this. I left it in an editable format.
