Description
Let's celebrate the New Year 2024 with this Year of the Dragon resource. Use as nengajyou (New Year cards) for exchange or to decorate the Japanese classroom as a colouring sheet. The perfect conversation starter to discuss the similarities and differences of between celebrating the New Year in Japan and your own country/culture.
Designed as a black line master so that students can even practice writing the Japanese script in the guise of a colouring task. For non-Japanese speakers, the message says あけましておめでとうございます (akemashite omedetou gozaimasu = happy new year/congratulations on the new year) and たつ年 (tatsu-doshi = Year of the Dragon).
