XYZ Affair and The Alien and Sedition Acts Notes and Presentation Activity

In this XYZ Affair and Alien and Sedition Acts guided notes and presentation activity, students complete a graphic organizer that covers all the basics on the XYZ Affair and the Alien and Sedition Acts.

Students are introduced to the graphic organizer, then are guided through the included Prezi presentation. Students watch the video on the XYZ Affair - then try to complete as much as they can of the graphic organizer. Students are then give correct, complete answers to modify their organizers.

Next, students watch a brief video on the Alien and Sedition Acts. Again, students try to fill out as much as they can - then they are guided through the presentation with correct information!

This lesson is part of the "A New Nation" Unit Plan, located in my New Nation Unit: 13 lesson activities bundle.

This resource includes a paper in-class version and a 1:1 Google compatible version to be used in conjunction with Google Classroom. Just follow the included instructions for how to access the Google version, then share the resource through Google or assign via Google Classroom. This will allow students to type directly into document!
