Description

In this activity, students are asked to "play pool," in order to find the equation of a line. A graph is given with 2 points (the pool ball and the pocket) and they need to construct a line (direction to shoot the ball) to get the ball into the pocket. There are two ways to have your students solve the equations. They could first draw the line, finding the slope and y-intercept or they could use the slope formula and then draw the line. Either way, your students will be finding the equation of a line. This is a great classwork assignment, or even a homework worksheet!
