Description

Write your own Repeated One Word Stories! These are a great way to teach tone to your students.

We use mentor texts in every writing lesson as a way to get kids excited about writing and to show them real examples of what we are asking them to do in writing. For this writing pack we use the picture book Dude! by Aaron Reynolds.

This pack will provide all you need to use this great picture book as a mentor text for writing a one word story using different emotions.

This pack includes:

- teacher notes

- tone anchor chart

- possible words to use chart for students

- story comprehension sheets to use with mentor text

- prewriting sheet

- writing project papers

I will be adding additional Writing packs using Mentor Texts soon! Stay tuned and you can also “follow” my TpT shop to get emails when new products are listed!
