Description

This is a writing toolkit resource designed for student support and independence! This is perfect to have students paste into their writing journal for easy access, or create a booklet with the pages.

Included in this resource:

  • 9 prefixes and suffixes with definitions and examples
  • "Other words for" pages for creative vocabulary notes
  • Feeling words brainstorming page
  • Comparing and Contrasting words list
  • Reference pages for narrative, informational, and opinion writing
  • A reminder on sentence structure

The reference pages on narrative, informational, and opinion writing include sentence stems specific to each genre of writing. These reference pages are also included in my sentence stems resource here.

My 3rd graders will be gluing these into their writing journals so they can independently access them during writing workshop. I believe this resource could be helpful for 2nd grade through 4th or 5th grade, and it's 100% adaptable to meet student needs.
