Description

Engage your teens with Writing prompts guaranteed to engross your middle and high school students and do it in a DIGITAL FORMAT!

In my own English classes, I like to begin class with students responding to journal prompts twice a week, “Music Monday” and “Thoughtful Thursday” This resource is my Digital “Thoughtful Thursday” plan for the year!

On each slide, there is a thought-provoking question that asks students to reflect about their own lives and respond in writing. Each prompt is set on an evocative photo, too, giving more stimulus for thought. This is a fantastic way to provide personal writing opportunities, since so much of class writing is academic. Students love this plan in my class, and I hope it works just as well in yours.

This resource can be easily shared with your students using Google Drive or Microsoft One Drive…excellent for schools who are transitioning to 1:1 or for teachers trying to incorporate more technology in their classes. What a great way to keep a digital writing portfolio!

Digital Resources are:
-Paperless - no printing, copying, stapling, hole punching!
-Accessible anywhere
-Building 21st Century skills
-Perfect for absent students
-FUN!
