Writing Myths - Ripped Out Writing
- PDF
Description
This is a fun and engaging way to get kids writing! I grab books of myths from my local used bookstore for this project. Rip out the pages of the myths and laminate each one separately. You can then reuse them each year! Give each student one page from a book. Students must include the text on their book page somewhere in their story.
If you want to add to the challenge, you can give kids several pages with one from each of the different myths. I have even used pages from different mythical stories!
Teachers usually have old books they can use for this project. You can also purchase a few myths for this activity. Once you laminate the pages, they can be reused over the years! I like to actually rip the pages out of the books I use, the kids get a kick out of the idea.
These look great displayed on a bulletin board! You can include the ripped out book page with their myth writing.
