Writing Centers Bundle: Set of 4 w/ rubrics, planners, more

Four different writing activities (with rubrics) are included in this 48-page set. They're fun and will always generate different products, no matter how many times they're used. The activities provide opportunities for expository, narrative, and creative writing. You can use these for writing centers and for whole- class writing assignments. They offer lots of flexibility and variation, and can be used repeatedly. If used as a center, these can stay up all year long. Another bonus is that these can be student led. Student organizers and rubrics are included for each activity. Specific details are below.

Four writing activities/centers included: 1. Picture Prompts - Students choose a picture, brainstorm thoughts on their organizer, and then create a piece of writing based on the picture. (Pictures not included)

2. Are You Kidding Me? - (inspired by the game Would You Rather?)- Students choose a "would you rather" situation card (included), decide which situation they'd rather do, use the organizer to log their ideas, then write an expository piece of text to defend their position.

3. RAFT - This center was inspired by the RAFT writing strategy. Students will use 4 different spinners (included) to select a role, audience, format, and topic to write about. They will use the organizer to brainstorm ideas, then will create their writing. (Spinners ARE included).

4. Let Me Help You with That - This center requires students to choose a prompt or story starter and complete the story using their own ideas. They can use the organizer to brainstorm their ideas before they start writing. (9 story starters ARE included).
