Writing Calendars & Menus for the Year (2023-2024)

This resource will be updated by the end of June each year. It is currently updated for the 2023-2024 school year.

Get your students writing daily with these seasonal & engaging monthly writing calendars & writing menus! These work great for a morning work activity, writing/literacy station, early finisher, extension activity, etc.

This writing bundle includes writing calendars and menus for every month of the year. Each calendar has a prompt for each day of the week. Most prompts relate to that specific month, holidays, national days of the year. Writing prompts cover a wide variety of writing skills including creative writing, narrative, expository, persuasive, poetry, drawing with use of caption writing, and much more!

In order to make this product adaptable for all teachers, a majority of this product is editable. Please read through each of your calendars before you print, as some prompts you may want to edit to include personalized information and important dates. You may also need to edit to show days you have off of school, holiday breaks, etc.
