World Foods Research Project *Editable*

This world foods research project is an engaging way for students to not only learn about cuisine, but also the culture and customs of a particular country. By the end of this project, students should have a better awareness of other cultures and should be knowledgable about how traditions, holidays, religious beliefs, geography, etc affect food choices and nutrition in certain areas of the world. They should be able to successfully compare and contrast the cuisine here in the US to those of other countries.

This is a 4 part project:

1. Thorough Country Research
2. Creation of a Recipe Book
3. Country Presentation
4. Compare/Contrast Essay and Reflection

This project can be weaved into almost any foods course. I use it near the end of the year in my Foods I course so students can see if they will enjoy taking International Foods in the future. Great project to assign individually, with partners, or in groups depending on your class sizes.

All documents are within Google Suite. Upon purchasing, you will receive a copy of all materials which then can be completely edited by you to fit your own classroom. I admit that I am human... if you see mistakes, please let me know so I can fix them in my own documents.
