Description

Do you want to include a home-school component to your word study program? Look no further than these home word sorts for your word work activities. They complement the Within Word Patterns of the Words Their Way™ program, but can also be used with any spelling program you are using for your Kindergarten to Grade 6 students.

These home word sorts were made with parents and students in mind. I often wanted to send home the weekly word sort with my students for reinforcement, but didn’t think they needed to have the full sheet of each sort and cut the words apart again at home.

These home sorts include a selection of approximately 14 words from each sort, along with a few extra words that follow the same spelling pattern. This resource complements the Words Their Way™ program.

They are great for students to take home to practice their weekly word sort, but also can be used as a reference for parents so they know how to help their child when practicing the word sorts at home. Each sort includes a ‘helpful hint’ for parents. It gives specific areas they can help their child at home with the sort.
