Updated 2/15/21: This file includes 8 word sort instruction printables/posters to be used with Words Their Way word sorts. The sorts include: Word Sort, Buddy Sort, Speed Sort, Blind Sort, Open Sort, Word Hunt, ABC Sort, and Concept Sort. The instructional printables are useful for students at any level. Although the printables are designed to be used with Words Their Way, they can be used with any word study or spelling list.
Each printable/poster explains how to do each sort, step-by-step. Posters are written in easy to read, student friendly language. Posters can be displayed in the classroom or stored in Words Their Way/word study notebooks. Each poster is available in color and black and white. The posters have also been shrunken down to fit 4 on a page. These are perfect to glue inside word study notebooks and homework folders.
There is now an editable file included with the download. You can adjust the wording of the directions to meet the needs of your classroom. You need to have Microsoft PowerPoint to use the editable file.
