What educators are saying

I love this for my students. The easy to understand lessons engaged them and they enjoyed using the "adult words for" common words they already knew.
Great resource! It's hard to find vocabulary words that are functional and not specifically tied to a subject (i.e., math vocab, science vocab, history vocab, etc.). Thank you!

Possible ways to use these 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade vocabulary activities:

✅ Give the class one word per day. Discuss its definition, ways to use it in a sentence, its part of speech, synonyms, and antonyms Reference the word several times throughout the day to get students used to hearing it.

✅ Reward students when they use it correctly during the day in order to encourage usage of the word.

✅ Add one word each day during morning meeting and continue to reference the words from previous days as well. Place the word in your morning meeting area and keep them up until the test for students to reference.

✅ Use the homework pages to have students continue to practice at home or these pages can also be used as small group work, morning work, or center work.

✅ Test students over the words on Friday.

✅ Allow students to spell these words as challenge words on their spelling test for extra credit

What are teachers saying about this vocabulary practice program?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“This is a really easy program that will get students learning new words, but also using new words they usually don't. We made a small vocabulary book with notecards, decorating the cover. Each day we would write the word, the definition, a sentence, an antonym, and a synonym. Then we'd share sentences. My students loved getting a skittle when they used the word throughout the day after our quick 5 minute morning lesson. My students would continue to recognize, and call attention to, words weeks and months after they had been introduced”. - Jeanelle

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“Love that these are challenging words for my kiddos and that the test is already done for me. Really helped when needing some extra practice for my ELL students.  Noticed improvements very quickly!” - Amber

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“A simple, clear, and effective vocabulary program. Great for differentiating as well. Thank you for taking the time to pick words that can easily be put to use in conversation!. I can tell a lot of hard work went into creating this!” - Sarah
