Description

This is a timed word sort for advanced phonics to help students train their brains to quickly identify Latin suffixes -tion, -sion, -ssion, and -cian in polysyllabic words. Teachers or students set a timer for three minutes. Students cut out the words and sort them on the chart. Students repeat the activity to see if they can beat their score. This is an excellent resource for middle school students with characteristics of dyslexia to use to increase automaticity and fluency.
