Description
This is a template PDF I made to activate our students' listening and awareness of WORD CHOICE within poetry. During this activity students are engaged in picking apart the words in a poem for identification. This can later be elevated to awareness of symbolism and word's hidden meanings.
I let my students listen to particular poems read by Shel Silverstein, but this activity will apply to any sample of poetry you choose to share.
