Description

Celebrate Women's History Month and Women in STEM through this print and digital biography project. Students will research a famous woman in STEM using student-friendly links to complete a biography template. A template is included as a printable worksheet or digital Google Slide that can easily be presented in a classroom or virtual learning environment. This Women's History project allows teachers to integrate diversity in science, literacy, and research skills into their classroom.

Students will:

  • Learn about the role of women in science through internet research
  • Read to summarize and decipher between relevant and nonrelevant information
  • Integrate science, literacy, research, and writing skills to complete the project

This Women's History project includes:

Women in STEM projects can be completed in as little as two class periods. Use an additional class period for presentations. In-class presentations can use the printable template as classroom decor. Virtual presentations can be conducted through screen share!

Use this activity as a science center project for students to dive deep into the history of science.
