Women's History Month- Women in World History Research Project

March is Women’s History Month–a time when we highlight the stories of women today and throughout history. A few years ago, I developed this independent research project for students to learn more about a woman in world history.

Students will then follow the research process to learn about their historical figure. At this point, you can choose to adjust the project to best fit your needs as the teacher. I have created resources for three products: 

1. A timeline
2. A biography
3. An illustration/visual representation

I have had this project take the whole month of March and assigned a different piece for each week. I’ve also only done one of the products and shortened the time spent on this assignment. It is very adaptable for whatever your needs are in class!
